Fun in the Kitchen With Dr. Peggy
Green smoothies are a great and healthy way to get more veggies into your diet. Here is a simple recipe that I use often.
- 1 scoop of protein powder
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- 1 cup of berries (fresh or frozen)
- ½ avocado
- 1 cup water
Mix it all together in a high power blender and enjoy!
A great way to help spinach last longer so that it doesn’t end up slimy in the refrigerator at the end of the week is to put it into a big ziploc bag and then put it in the freezer. Then you can just grab your handfuls from the frozen bag and put it right in the blender.
