Nutritional Cleanse

Nutritional Cleanse

What is involved in a Nutritional Cleanse?

Most (if not all) people immediately associate the word ‘cleanse’ with sitting on the toilet for hours on end or days in a row.  In fact, this is the first thing people often think about when I mention Nutritional Cleansing.

Nutritional Cleansing is not the same as colon cleansing.

Colon cleansing is based on using fiber or laxatives to shed gunk and foreign substances from your colon. This can often cause dehydration and it also may mess up your intestinal bacterial flora that can potentially lead to yeast infections and other gastrointestinal issues.

Not nice.

Instead, the Nutritional Cleanse that I am referring to is what I call the ‘Poop-Free Cleanse’ and it involves using great nutrition to help your body perform at its best by ridding it of harmful substances naturally.

Nutritional Cleansing Gives Your Body a Break

It allows your liver and kidneys, which are working hard all the time to rid your body of toxins to take a much needed break from the toxic overload that all of us are experiencing in this modern society.

Cleansing gives the body the chance to rest, regenerate and assist in its natural ability to remove toxins and impurities to promote long-term wellness.

The cleanse that I’m talking about helps your organs and cells in ridding the body of harmful chemicals to help you feel healthier, less stressed, more focused and more energized.

Nutritional Cleansing is built upon the health routine of cleansing, including fasting and drinking herbal remedies, which has been practiced throughout history.

Ok, so now we have reviewed what nutritional cleansing is but why would you, an average person, want to do it?

Why would you want to do a Nutritional Cleanse?

We are exposed to more toxins and chemicals in a single day than our grandparents were exposed to in their entire lifetimes.

Many people say to me: “But Dr. Peggy, I eat extremely healthy and avoid processed foods, I’m sure I’m not toxic so I don’t think I need to cleanse”

Unless you eat all organic all the time, you are exposed to and are ingesting the pesticides and herbicides that have been put on your fruits and vegetables.

The air we breathe is more and more polluted all the time.

Everything you put on or in your body can contribute to toxic load. So cosmetics, shampoos, toothpastes, creams and other common products are full of chemicals.

The building materials, carpets, paint etc that were used to build your house and the building you work in are exposing you to toxins and chemicals.

The laundry detergent you use to wash your clothes and the cleaning products you use to clean your house all have toxic chemicals in them.

So, every day our bodies ingest all different kinds of chemicals, toxins and impurities.

Not only that, but our bodies are also constantly giving off what are known as free radicals, or negatively charged molecules that attack your body's cells. These free radicals can happen as a result of environmental challenges such as pollution or even your normal metabolism and exercise.

Nutritional Cleansing helps rid your body of these toxins, while at the same time flooding your system with antioxidants — free radicals' worst nightmare.

We are all Toxic to one Degree or Another

The conclusion of this information is that we are all toxic to one degree or another and it is no surprise that we are fighting a losing war on Cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, Diabetes, Thyroid disease and many other chronic degenerative conditions.

Toxicity is Related to Obesity

In addition to this, recent studies are showing that one of the reasons that we are seeing an obesity epidemic in North America and people are struggling with their weight is because of the over abundance of toxins in our environment.

Toxins stored in fat cells are sabotaging the inner workings of our cells that help to produce energy and keep your metabolism functioning at a normal rate.

When the basal metabolic rate is reduced because of this inner cell sabotage, the overall effect on the body is weight gain and fatigue no matter how responsible your diet and exercise habits.

Nutritional Cleansing Can Help you Safely Lose Weight and Keep it Off

A side benefit of the cleansing process is that you can lose excess weight as your body releases stored toxins from fat cells and then helps your cells to heal and function better because they have been freed from the effects of the toxins.

The benefits of Nutritional Cleansing, combined with the convenience of a complete wellness system, have given people the ability to change their lives in remarkable ways and have created greater health and safe, lasting weight loss for hundreds of thousands of people.
